Database-Refresh

Hi,

i am pretty new in Power BI and my Problem is:

- i have a local Database (Postgres) and this data updates frequently

- i configured a Power BI Desktop Report with DirectQuery and this Report in Power BI Desktop is updated when a change in the database occurs.

Is it possible to publish this report to other people so that they have a "live" Version where they see if this data changes?

Thank you!

Hi @Steven_

Yes it is possible. You can publish the report to Power BI workspace (app.powerbi.com) and then add user into the workspace to access the report. Also, you need to configure the Power BI data gateway. Gateway is required to connect your report from cloud to on-prem database. You need to configure and map the data gateway data source to your Power BI dataset so that your Power BI report will always show the latest data.

Thanks

Hari
