Re: Using Column Level Security with Shortcuts
Today, one could add OneLake Security roles on the lakehouse (assuming it's a lakehouse) in the hub. When a user is accessing content in the spoke workspaces, via the shortcut, their identity can "flow" to the lakehouse in the central workspace, where OneLake Security (and its CLS) would be applied. Right? Wouldn't this solve it?36Views0likes0CommentsRe: Filter and RLS on OneLake shortcuts

Same issue here; my source is also a database, for which I need a data gateway. My destination is a lakehouse. Is this known bug specific to a dataflow that uses a gateway? Or do all Dataflows Gen2 fail to load data into a lakehouse? This recurs even with gateway version 3000.178.9 (June 2023).74KViews1like0CommentsFabric - Database table to lakehouse Delta table - how?
I am using Fabric preview. I can't figure out a basic use case: how do I extract a table from a database, and create it as a table in a Fabric lakehouse? I go into my Lakehouse > Get data > New Dataflow Gen2 > get data from my database (it's an on-prem PostgreSQL database, and I'm using a gateway). The dataflow gets a table. The dataflow refreshes successfully. All good. But that doesn't create a table in the lakehouse. What is the flow to get data from a database, and turn it into a Delta table in the lakehouse?! (None of the documentation seems to cover this major use case.) Thanks!461Views0likes1Comment
