Hi there,
I am getting the below message although I am sure about everything. No issues in the desktop file at all.
Also, I am not getting a choice to edit the credentials as I usually get with this kind of messages
This prevents me of Scheduling Update.
Has anyone been in this case before?
Thanks in advance.
Hi; Similar to what the OP described, in my case, the "Data source Credentials" area of the options menu is greyed out as well, and not accessible. - you literally cannto access that setting in order to correct any problems. Is there another way to fix this problem? FYI, in my case, i'm connecting into D365 BC data.
Thanks a lot for the reply @TomMartens ,
The Edit Credential option is not available in my case. Please note that my datasourse is execl files saved on MS Teams channel.
I hope you can help me further.
Hey @Hadill ,
sometimes this happens when there is a password change of a personal account for one of the data sources that form the Semantic Model (fka dataset) and this change is not repeated for the credentials in the dataset. I experience this sometimes, when colleagues are using SharePoint as a data source.
Navigate to the settings of the semantic model and check the "Data source credentials", re-authenticate to the web data sources.
IF you have not configured the dataset, be careful with "Taking over" the semantic model, as this "move" requires re-authentication for all data sources, except the ones that are using a data gateway connection.
Hopefully, this will to tackle your challenge.
Regards,
Tom
