I'm getting this error when I tried to refresh my datasets in Power BI service.

To address the issue you're encountering, you can consider merging the tables directly in SQL Server instead of doing it in Power BI. This can be achieved by creating a new table in SQL Server that combines the data from both the SQL Server database and the Excel file. This approach can help avoid the refresh error in Power BI Service.

I asked the admin of the sql server database and he mentioned that if I merge tables from sql server database to an excel file table, this will cause the error message when you refresh it in power bi service. Is any alternative that I can use to merge excel file tables to sql server database?

Go to semantic model settings>credentials -update your credentials>Oauth2 and organizational.If it is not working downloaded your report and turn on column quality in transform data and check your applied steps for any errors in the following table TechOpsPlanDataXSquadData.
