Hello,
I'm getting this error when I tried to refresh my datasets in Power BI service.
Data source error: {"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"SharePoint: Request failed: https://sharepoint.com/sites/RBITech/RBIPT/Flight/Shared Documents/(WFP)/Flight WFP_xlsx/_api/contextinfo"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.DataSourceKind","detail":{"type":1,"value":"SharePoint"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.DataSourcePath","detail":{"type":1,"value":"https://sharepoint.com/sites/RBITech/RBIPT/Flight/Shared%20Documents/(WFP)/Flight%20WFP_xlsx/_api/contextinfo"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Reason","detail":{"type":1,"value":"DataSource.Error"}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: TechOpsPlanDataXSquadData.

Hi tadeom0,
Thank you for your follow-up.
To address the issue you're encountering, you can consider merging the tables directly in SQL Server instead of doing it in Power BI. This can be achieved by creating a new table in SQL Server that combines the data from both the SQL Server database and the Excel file. This approach can help avoid the refresh error in Power BI Service. If you need further assistance or have any more questions, feel free to ask. If this solution works for you, please mark it as accepted and give it a "Kudos" so other members can benefit from it.
Thank you.

Hi tadeom0 ,
Go to semantic model settings>credentials -update your credentials>Oauth2 and organizational. If it is not working downloaded your report and turn on column quality in transform data and check your applied steps for any errors in the following table TechOpsPlanDataXSquadData.
Thanks,

I already updated my credentials and also turned on column quality to check for any errors but there are no errors in each applied steps.

Hi tadeom0 ,
Thank you for reaching out to the community forum.
I understand that you're encountering a "Data Source Error" when trying to refresh your datasets in Power BI Service. Based on the error details you provided; it seems that the issue is related to accessing a SharePoint file.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
- Even if you have access to SharePoint, there might be restrictions on certain files or folders. Please double-check that the credentials used for the SharePoint data source are correct and have not expired. You can update the credentials in the Power BI Service under the dataset settings. Additionally, try accessing the SharePoint file directly through a web browser to ensure that the file is accessible and there are no network issues.
- If you are using an On-Premises Data Gateway, make sure it is up-to-date and properly configured. You can try restarting the gateway to see if that resolves the issue.
- Since you mentioned that there are no errors in each applied step, it might be helpful to review the steps again to ensure there are no hidden issues. Sometimes, minor changes in the data source can cause refresh errors.
If this helps, then please Accept it as a solution and dropping a "Kudos" so other members can find it more easily.
