Hello All,
I want to connect AWS RDS PostgreSQL with PowerBI service.
as I created report in Power BI desktop and Publish in Power BI service and the report is connected to Gateway connection to postgresql database, but during manually refresh dataset, I got connection error message.
Here is,
Postgres DB hosted on AWS-RDS. This database is behind firewalls (aws security groups). I have whitelisting IP of desktop on AWS Security Group.
What are options to connect powerbi service with AWS RDS since we don't know the ip range of powerbi service. ( or Is there anyway to know IP range of Power BI service?)
Connection error image.
Hi Vinit,
I have the same exact issue. Did you find a solution? Would love to hear what worked. Thanks!
Hi , @Vinit
According to your problem description, I think you can try to refer to this official document to add all the URLs and port numbers needed for Power BI data refresh to the corresponding whitelist of your dataset:
Add Power BI URLs to allowlist - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!
Best Regards,
Aniya Zhang
