Good morning,
I have a problem.
I created a Power BI report on the Desktop version and I successfully imported my SQL database (to use the data) then I exported my report in Power BI Service (Web) and, in this version, I can't reconnect my SQL server.
When I try to connect my SQl server to Power BI Service, I get this error message:
I need to use the Web version of Power BI to automate the sending and updating of reports, I also need my SQL server because all my data is on it.
How to do it?
Thank you so much.
Evan
Solved! Go to Solution.
If your SQL Server database is on premise then you need to use an enterprise gateway. Otherwise the Power BI service has no way to get to your database.
Hi @Nextime ,
Agree with Ibendlin. With gateway installed, you need to manage it in Power BI Service, please kindly refer to
