1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi , @parariiiii

Thanks for your quick response!

I search your error code and find the same as yours. And the solution is:
Turns out this message usually happens when one of the existing users has left the company and their user account is no longer in the AAD.  After removing these non-existent users then I was once again able to update the permissions of the report.

So , you can try to check if the AAD in the permmison link if wxist in the AAD?

You can also refer to this case with the same error code:
Solved: Power BI Service: Permissions failed to update - Microsoft Fabric Community

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

Hi, @parariiiii

Based on my previous test and research on your current issue scenario met and error situation. I think if you can make the operation for "delete user from access" in the UI page but the user actually didn't been removed, it's usually related to the server down error with the backend database of Power BI read/write permission lost.

If you can make this operation again for today? If still get this kind of same issue situation, would you like to also check and provide the error message you meet in the UI page to expand the detailed pane and copy the whole error message for me for the backend log database query and give you further investigation result?

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

First way: The error as below (same as last time)

Second way: There is no error but user hasn't been removed

Thank you!
