Hi rankithb. You can get data from web and use a link of an excel file from Onedrive. That will connect directly from cloud. Once you publish, you can open Power Bi Service and just look for "Schedule Refresh" to configure the auto refreshes times. That way you can save the development source in a pbix file for control version.
More details: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-use-onedrive-business-links
If you just want to work directly at Service, you can, but you won't have a file that is the original development for any troubles in a future. You can read more about that here (the tutorial says local data, but you can do it with onedrive): https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/fundamentals/service-get-started
I hope that helps,
Happy to help!
