I try to connect to SAP BW with DirectQuery mode, the Power BI Desktop show me the model, but man when I try to do a simply calculation i takes a long time to do it, and the model only has 25000 rows.
It's really slow, can anybody provide information of what can I do about this.
Thanks,
@Anonymous,
What calculation do you create in Power BI Desktop?
With DirectQuery mode, the report performance depends largely on the performance of your underlying data source. Please use proper tools to check execution plans for your query on SAP BW side, and push calculated columns and measures to the source if possible.

@v-yuezhe-msft thanks for your reply, let me tell you that the calculation I refer is a simply sum, but that metric is created in the SAP BW, I did not created one on the Power BI Desktop.
@Anonymous,
Do you mean that it takes long time when you drag the calculated column/measure to report? If so, please evaluate performance at SAP BW side.

Lydia
