Hi All,
We have a power bi report built on three different spread sheets in an Excel.
Recently they have provided a new Excel with all the fields combined from the 3 different tabs into a single spread sheet.
How can I replace the data source without effecting the existing data model.
Please suggest.

@Anonymous Really need more information but in theory you could simply point to the new spreadsheet in each of the queries and remove the columns that are not in each of the current queries.

Based on this——when I am changing the power query with required columns still all the columns are coming into the data model.
Sure, when you import data from a excel file, all columns will be loaded to model unless you do some transformations like removing in Power Query.

Thank you Greg for pointing me in the right direction your mentoined approach worked.
but when I am changing the power query with required columns still all the columns are coming into the data model. I had to remove them from choose columns option.
