Hello PBI Community,
I have a marketo instance with about 450k contacts with data I am trying to pull in to my power bi model.
The problem is we do not want to pay for the expensive Marketo Bulk Extract connector however we have too much data to utilize the PBI Desktop Connector.
I have found this article and am wondering if anyone has tried to build this out using the PBI Service Dataflows or PBI Desktop and writing out the JSON:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
@seanrm42 I never used Marketo but using API is more or less straightforward.
If you can generate a long-living token in Marketo (as the article says) then you will be just fine doing everything from the PBI Desktop and using Web.Content as a connector.
If there would be a need for some login logic (OAuth) then you'd have to create a custom connector that can handle the login functionality.
I created a couple of custom connectors already and it's really not that difficult.
