Direct Query Mode - Couldn't load the data for this visual

Hi,

I created a PBI Desktop report that connects to multiple Datasets with direct query mode, together with several import data. I created roles filtering by corporate email address:

If I try to view as roles it works fine:

But, after publishing the report in a shared workspace, the security only works fine for the Owner group. But as soon as I try with a user out of the Group, I get the following error:

If I take out the direct query datasets from the report, security for this report works fine. Also, if I test the security of each dataset separately it works fine aswell. I have reviewed all credentials are validated.

What am I doing wrong?

Any advice will be very appreciated.

Hi @jalortega ,

401 error usaually means autentication error, not related to your RLS.

Based on your model, it is a multiple data sources reports and have limitations when configuring RLS for it which is by design in Power BI Desktop, please refer: Limited relationships 

There are additional restrictions related to limited relationships:

• The RELATED DAX function can't be used to retrieve the "one" side column values
• Enforcing RLS has topology restrictions
