Definitely need this! It really slows our progress down not being able to have multiple team members working on a report at the same time. Need this in both Power BI Desktop and Service, although Desktop will be more useful.

Jonathan, it might help to clarify if you are looking for support for concurrent/simultaneous edits of the same report in the PowerBI service. Multiple users of the same workspace can progressively edit a report (one at a time), but they cannot edit the same file concurrently. It sounds like you might be advocating for a concurrent authoring experience that mimics using Office 365 documents on SharePoint Online.

This would still be a useful feature, and I'm surprised (at time of writing) that only 59 votes have been submitted since 2015! My team are struggling to work together on reports when only one can make changes at a time. It's a ball-ache to have duplicates of the file and then try to integrate changes afterwards.

This would be a great feature and I think going forward this is a must - specifically being consistent with the fact that other Microsoft apps like Excel have this feature
