Client certificate authentication option in Power Query

Power Query needs to add client certificates as an authentication option so that Excel can use them to authenticate to PKI-protected OData endpoints.

HTTPS with client cert auth would be extremely helpful

Looks like this is still an open item and it's one of the disadvantageous to use either Power Query / Power BI

When PowerBI already supports 5 authentication methods for odata feeds - how hard is it for the developers to add one more? 🙂 The powerBI team seem to thrive on healthy competition - Does anyone else know of a similar tool that does allow certificate authentication to an odata service?

This shouldn't be difficult to implement and, in my particular case, it's causing I need to look into other tools like Spotfire or Tableau...

This seems like a significant gap and would be very useful to be able to authenticate from PowerBI this way and reuse our existing REST API

Not only helpful, this is a must! What else is the windows certificate store good for, if even MS Applications don't use it?

This would be great, currently need a way to do this within the Power Query environment.

Isn't there a solution to this problem yet?

I would also like to see this. We want to start using dataverse to consolidate data into one spot. Some of the data we need is exposed through web api with only certificate auth as an option. There may be a workaround with some sort of proxy, but this isnt elegant enough. Having a native way to do this would be preferred.
