Hello!
Im triyng to conect Power Bi in Github repo following this guide:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/projects/projects-git
However, its a little confusing. Could anyone please help me?
Can I use .pbix files or do they need to be exclusively .pbip?
How can I read a .pbix file (or .pbip) in Visual Studio like a JSON? (At least, this is how its shown in link abobe.)
It seems like a great option for version control.
Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the feedback.
For source control you should use the new Power BI Project (PBIP) format, that will let you save your Power BI file (PBIX) to a folder with metadata files as text (mostly JSON). You can then open the folder using VS Code and initialize a Git Repo for source control.
Please see the following video where I demo end-to-end: https://youtu.be/OdkS7DF7ElY

This is exactly what I needed!
Thank you Rui, We always appreciate all your resources from Power BI. Great work as always!
I'm looking for the same answer, we are new to using Github or version control. Please let me know if you have any documentation or help videos on this topic.
Thanks!
