Hello,
I want to add new query programatacilly using TMDL file.
What i did i have just copied existing query TMDL file, changed name and columns:
What I am afraid of is this lineageTag: 34f209fc-367a-4b75-9861-db05a3c79d76.
I got the duplicated lineageTag error while opening bpip file.
So what i did i have changed lineageTag: 34f209fc-367a-4b75-9861-db05a39999
and worked.
But what it is? Do i need to provide it? How to be sure that this is unique ?
Best,
Jacek
Solved! Go to Solution.
I just did this on one of my models. Made the changes on folder while desktop was closed. Openned successfully with the new table.

Thank you.
Exact steps which i did:
1) Created a copy from my current powery query in TMDL file.
2) Changed the copy name
3) Removed Lineage tag for tmdl table using Visual Studio Code.
And i got :
I do not want to generate tmdl tables after saving pbip opened project.
I want to copy tmdl table with power query code with adjustments for table name, source and columns and open it after.
Best,
Jacek
