Report Filter

Hi Dear,

I am using the free version, I am trying to:

1. Create a report filter, I would to embed this report and at same time I would to user/how are using the report to filter the whole report when they explore it (like filter by district). I am putting a slicer filter for all pages but I have to reselect / filter every time I move to a new page.

2. I would to share the report with other Power BI user and give them read only. Is this feature for Pro user or the free user also?

Thanks

Mahmoud

You could use a report filter.

Sharing requires Pro unless you use Publish to Web.

Hi @Greg_Deckler,

This is good, I am using Publish to web. If I used report filter, the filter bas did not appear in the browser (with embed to web mode). So that means only if I am browsing the report from the Power BI Service(Logged in)?.

Thanks

Mahmoud

Hi @mahmoud,

Yes, currently, the filter pane is not available on an embedded web report. Someone has submitted tis feature request here, you can click to vote it up.

But embed in SharePoint Online (Preview) supports an option to show or hide the filter pane based on need. You can refer to this document: Embed with report web part in SharePoint Online
