Show image from local folder instead of URL

I know how to use the custom visual Image Viewer to show an image from a URL, but I'm interested in getting the images from a local folder instead.

Is this possible?

I have several images stored in the folder and I want them to change based on selection from a slicer. Sorry for not clarifying that in the initial post.

With your solution I'll be able to import a single static image and what I want is a dynamic image.

As far as i know, the requirement which you have mentioned is not yet possible.
