Hi Everyone,
I have a very big Power Bi report with over 40 data sources. Accordingly, the relationship model is quite overwhelming.
The report has 40+ visual pages and I, over a period of one year, made some measure. Whenever I uploaded new data to the report, Power Bi made up some Inactive relationships (I now turned off that function). However, to get a more organized structure in the relationship model, I would like to delete some inactive relationships.
I read somewhere that measures can cause an inactive relationship. Is that true?
When deleting inactive relationships, am I deleting a measure in a visual?
Or is it safe to delete all inactive measures?
I appreciate all the help I can get.
Best regards and thanks a lot!
@patricPBI , Inactive relation can be used using userelation
I doubt delete relation will delete measures.
a relationship in the relationship view is just that, you can delete it and its only the relationship you are deleting, however if you have a measure based on that relationship, that will affect it if you delete the relationship. However if you delete inactive relationships and they are not being used, it should have no impact.
Proud to be a Super User!
@patricPBI - Measures can use USERELATIONSHIP to use an inactive relationship. You can safely remove the inactive relationships. Do it one at a time. If a measure breaks, put it back.
