Hi, In case that a report has been deleted, there is no current way to recover users personal bookmarks. currently there is no way to : Backup and restore personal bookmarks Export/import personal bookmarks In case of deletion of a report , the bookmarks disappear as they part of the service and not the pbix Please provide an option to restore or import personal bookmarks Thanks

currently this works fine when refreshing over power bi desktop but its a limitation on the power bi service that give a SSO authentication error and doesnt allow to refresh (this its actually a noted limitation on power bi dataset direct query.

Can we please have subfolders within PBI Workspaces to organise Workspace content? I'm sure theres heaps of people out there who want to organise their content better / create archive folders for old reports, or just sob-caregorise reports with Power BI workspaces. For those with a large number of reports in a single Workspce, I'm sure trawling through giant lists of reports is not fun. Seems like elementary functionality to have! Thanks

If you implement a dataset that uses a dataflow as datasource and they are in differente workspaces, lineage will show all dependecies between them only if you set lineage view from dataset >> dataflow. If you set lineage view from dataflow, it will not show the datasets that denpends on this dataflow if dataset is in different workspace. My idea is no matter if dataset/dataflow are at the same or at different workspaces, lineage would show all dependencies. Motivation If you follow Power BI best practices for Workspace, Dataflow and Dataset you will end up having datasets allocated in different workspace as its dataflow source. In this situation it is important to know which are the datasets that use some specific dataflow as datasource, specially to manage update schedule, access permissions.

It is currently possible to publish .pbip files to Power BI Service by hand using Power BI Desktop or automated by using Power BI Workspace Deploy from the GitHub Marketplace. It is however not yet possible to use the Power BI Cmdlets (MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt module) or Power BI API calls to publish a .pbip file to Power BI Service. For people who use Azure DevOps to source control their Power BI files it would be very helpful to be able to automate the publishing of these files to Power BI Service on the completion of Pull Requests for example using a PowerShell script.

Hi there, As recommended by Power BI Documentation (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/dataflows/best-practices-developing-complex-dataflows), it's more efficient if you separate the ETL in different dataflows by having a staging dataflow and a transformation dataflow. By doing so you gain a lot in efficiency, but not much on administration. As you split ETL in many dataflows and datasets, by the time you have to set a individual schedule configuration for each dataflow/dataset that belongs to the lineage. To make schedule administration easier, it would be nice if we could configurate a Refresh Chain, where you could select a specific dataflow/dataset, view it's refresh timeline. Then all dataflow/dataset dependency would be shown in a timeline graph. It would also be nice if we could configure the refresh schedule of the first dataflow/dataset in lineage and the following dataflow/datasets would have a option to schedule a update "As soon as possible".

Could we see the Percentage of Dataset Refresh that is achieved, and the tables that are processed, the number of rows ? Like a sort of progress bar. Thanks !

I would be great to create personal note in the report on Power BI service and choose if this is going to show to everyone, selected user or private. This kind of feature could help you when you have a meeting or you are doing some follow up with the data on the report and you need to remenber the notes that you already made, or a stakeholder made to you. For example: The notes can be shows only when you press the buttom "Show Notes", you will see your private note, public note and note address to you.

In the previous UI of Power BI Service, developers can move between different reports using the left navigation bar. With the new UI, this is no longer possible. This is particularly challenging when testing a role that has object-level security over a thin report. Inadvertently using a field that is blocked by the OLS will result to visual errors (this is true even for inactive elements of the visual such as a dynamic title that has been turned off), but the author may not be able to catch the visuall error without testing the role. Testing a role in Power BI Desktop for thin reports is also currently not possible so the Power BI Service is the only option.

It would be great if we were able to have some kind of bulk update matrix/functionality in the Power BI Service Workspaces. For example if I have a large amount of datasets in a single Workspace (say 50 datasets for argument's sake) it is painful to have to go into each dataset settings one-by-one to enable/disable/update scheduled refreshes, change credentials, etc. It would be to be able to choose the setting you want primarily, then choose (eg. tick box) which artefacts/dataflows/datasets you want to apply that change to as a bulk update.

Good afternoon, I suggest you an idea about report on a Power BI Service space. Currently, I have seen that the code to embed a report/dashboard has an <iframe> tag. But, in agree with HTML5, why do not you replace <iframe> with a <div> tag and make it responsive? Have you considered this idea? Are you already working on it? Thanks in advance for the answers.

A button in the Power BI Service, in the App settings, that allow admin to reset all filters to default for all users when the pbix file is updated on the workstation.

Hi, I reached out PBI support engineer (TrackingID#2401300040008357) and they confirmed it's not possible at the moment, they recommanded me to open an idea here. It would be very useful if we can change the default layout of the list view in the workpace. Here's a usecase : On the workspace home page, you see a list of objects in a list view. There's a column named "Refreshed" that shows last refreshed datetime and STATUS icon. As it is (in French), the default display format hides the status. It has a real impact on our business because we didn't notice that some dateflow failed to refresh, because there is no visual cues (we dont see the yellow triangle icon). (see attached screenshots) We know it's possible to manually resize the columns but because this manuals steps have to be done everytime we load the page, users stopped doing it. We were able to work around that issue by forcing the Microsoft Edge display language to English. But it's not ideal since many of our users don't speak english and this changes the browser language for all usage. N.B. Our monitors displays are set at 1920x1080. One of the following 2 features would be very helpful : 1. Ability to remove unused columns AND change the default size of the columns. 2. Change the default date format independantly of the browser selected language. Thank you --mo
