subscription = data refresh ?

I see that in power bi service, there is an subscription option where I can specify which days of the month I can get emails

questions regarding this:

1. Will the data refresh everytime a subscription email is sent out ? Or a subscription email is just an email with link to a report, 

thats it,  and it shows the data as per when was the last time it got refreshed?

Subscription and refresh are not the same function. Subscription is like a notofication or a mini dashboard.

You could find the link and a preview dashboard in the email.

And you could run subscription ( once per day ) when you finish data refresh. Maybe it is the reason that you are confused.

Hi there

When you enable the subscription it will send an email with an image attachment of the report with the data on the days you specify.

The subscription will not update the reports data, you have to enable that via the scheduled refresh.
