"My Custom Connector" option not appearing when creating new data source

Hi,

I'm trying to create a new data source that with a type "My Custom Connector". I'm following the steps on the link below:

Under "Enable and use this capability", I followed the steps to setup an on prem gateway and am trying to create the data source. It mentions I should choose "My Custom Connector" as the Data Source Type. But when i tried, there is no "My Custom Connector" option. I was wondering how do I make this option available?

where are you trying to "create a new data source" - on the Power BI Desktop or in the Power BI Service?

sorry for the delay. I was away for the past week. It is Power BI Service.

You need to install the .mez file of your custom connector on all gateway cluster members.  In the gateway management app you can validate that the cluster member can correctly read the .mez
