incremental refresh on a non-date integer column

Hi,

I have a need to do incremental refresh (daily cadence) on my datasets based on a non-date integer column (bigint)

We have time series data that's loaded on to SQL server that sometimes misses some previous timestamps. Hence the record ID solution that's always incrementing to make sure we capture all of the data irrespective of timestamps.

How can I set this up for my reports?

I've so far only found information on to use the date field and set up incremental refresh.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

You can't. Incremental refresh is timestamp based.

Can you use a different timestamp, like "Record received"  ?

Thank you @lbendlin for the suggestion. By adding a record_ received column at source I can set up incremental refresh. Didn't think of that earlier. Appreciate your input!
