Export Matrix table to excel

Hi,
I created a Matrix table in Power Bi Desktop and when I try to export it to Excel from the Power Bi Service I get a different format.

Is it possible to have the same format as defined in Power Bi desktop (Matrix Table)

Thanks for the help

Hi @elads ,

You can try export the table as "Summarized data".

Best Regards,

Jay

Hi @Anonymous

I still get a different format.

More ideas?

If you go to https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/ and type in the search for "matrix export" you will see people have been moaning and requesting such changes to PBI since 2016 or maybe even earlier.

Unfortunately this falls on deaf ears as Microsoft are more keen to implement ideas that they think are cool rather than what our business users actually require.

At the end of the day, not everyone has access to the dashboard, and our business users need a practical way to export things from PBI, to drop into powerpoint or excel to pass onto board members, external auditors etc.

Hi @RobThrive ,

It's sad to hear that nothing is being done about it.
I think this is a very important feature.

I look forward to good news later..
