how to use elasticsearch connection to create Power BI Dashboard

Hi

I have successfully created a connection to elasticsearch. When going to "Manage Connections and Gateways" the connection shows "Live" status.

How can I use this connection to create a Power BI Dashboard ?

Please help

Thanks

Joe

Looks like you found a gap.  Neither the Power BI Desktop nor the Power BI Service seem to have a "native"  ElasticSearch connector, despite the fact that you can create a connection on the gateway.  I also don't think the gateway actually supports that as the hidden SIMBA ODBC drivers don't include it

I would like to access the connection from Power BI Service - not PBI Desktop.
I have created a connection in "Manage Connections and Gateways". I selected the "ElasticSeach" connection type and it is connected to my elasticsearch DB. When I click on it it says it is "live". Where in Power BI Service can I attach to the connection ? Do I need a special license ? Is it through some other component ? Do I need to create a semantic model ? Is it a dataflow/ data lake ?

Many Thanks

Hello

I am using Power Query online and want to add an existing connection for elasticsearch but am unable to to so. There is no "+" sign in manage connections.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/manage-connections

The connection I want to add is visible as "live" in Power BI Manage WorkSpaces
https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/gateways

Can you please advise if this is supported to work or how to use a connection from Power Query service.

Thanks
