how to find root url of a sharepoint folder

I need to add a sharepoint folder to a gateway, 

below is the url I extract from an Excel file stored in that folder

https://XXXXXXXX.sharepoint.com/sites/SharedCollaborationPlatform/People%20%20General/RESOURCE%20COS...

I try to add the following root url to the gateway, but was told there is a Data Source Error. I have access to the 2022 sub-folder, so it's not a permission issue.

https://XXXXXXXX.sharepoint.com/sites/SharedCollaborationPlatform/People%20%20General/RESOURCE%20COST/2022

How to get the correct root URL for this folder?

As mentioned by @SpartaBI , you should use https://XXXXXXXX.sharepoint.com/sites/SharedCollaborationPlatform

in order to connect to you site.

In order to use the correct URL, we need to be in the folder of the data that we’re trying to get and check the url that our browser shows. If it has the if it starts with the format of https://<site address>/sites/<sitename>/ then we need to use that url, otherwise we use the much simpler https://<site address>

I don't have full access to this site, therefore I cannot access https://XXXXXXXX.sharepoint.com/sites/SharedCollaborationPlatform. I only have access to folder: Resource Cost/2022.

Besides, I'm not sure what you mean by 'I need to add the sharepoint folder to the gateway'.

If your data source is in the cloud, you do not need  gateway to refresh the data.

For a single excel file on sharepoint, you can consider using the web connector directly for data access.
