dynamic data source refresh

Hi, I have an issue with a report, it was built using Excel workbooks as data sources, located in a shared drive, the excel sheets get updated automatically, and Power Bi pulls that data, the report runs fine and refresh in Power BI desktop works good, but when publishing it to Power BI service I don't see the gateway selection, all i see is:

This dataset includes a dynamic data source. Since dynamic data sources aren't refreshed in the Power BI service, this dataset won't be refreshed. Learn more: https://aka.ms/dynamic-data-sources.

I've seen and read many blogs and I couldn't fnd anything related to shared drive location post with the same error.

any help will be appriciated.

Hi, I got it to work: some of the data source were using web.content(), changed them to File.content() and it's working good, thanks for pointing me to right direction.

Hi @bro10 

It looks like you will have to change your datset a bit so you can access the network path using on-premises gateway.
