i have a problem. i cannot add an email address because it says it is outside the domain. although i can add my own email with the same domain. Does anyone know what is going wrong here?

I tested this by granting access to both a shared mailbox and individual users, and it worked fine.
(Note: I am the admin for the workspace.)
By default, shared mailboxes in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) don’t have a Power BI license, which is required for access. Make sure to assign a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license to the shared mailbox.
Additionally, some Power BI security settings may block shared mailboxes. Ask your Power BI Admin to check the Admin Portal → Tenant Settings to ensure shared mailboxes are allowed.

If external emails are restricted, automation can help bypass the limitation.
Utilize Power Automate for Automation & Flexibility:
Power Automate can be used to send email notifications to external recipients when a data refresh fails.
Configure a flow that triggers upon detecting a Power BI alert and automatically forwards notifications to the specified external email addresses.

So that's the thing. It's not external email. Both the mail addresses I'm trying to add have the same domain. However, one is a sharedmailbox. But as far as I know, you should be able to just add those too.
