background

I am working on a project and one of the requests is to make the background color of a tile change with a KPI indicator. I know how to use the KPI indicator custom visual but I do not know how to turn that into a background for an entire tile. Ideas?

Hey @tylerbauer,

I have never seen this in a visual before, but it is completely possible. I would look into making a custom visual for your project, especially if the KPI Indicator source code is available.

There is a good webinar here to get you started.

Hope this helps,

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your response. I was able to find the KPI indicator code here - https://github.com/fredrikheden/PowerBI-visuals. However, it seems this involves a lot of front end work. What skill of JS do you think I need to do this?

Thanks,

Tyler
