Woke up to a messages from my end users, across a half dozen reports (so far), that a varying number of visuals (some reports, only a couple visuals, other reports, nearly all visuals/tables/etc) are erroring out, with the same message across the top:
"This feature is not supported. Please make sure you have installed the latest version of the gateway".
I have had my IT/Network admin verify that the gateway is up to date and I've tried republishing updated versions of reports over the "current" versions, but with no luck. I can also open each report in PBI desktop and refresh without any issue.
When I click on Error Details underneath any one of the reports' affected visuals, I get this:

How long did this happen to you, @zwyatt? Are the reports back to normal? What else did you do on your end to resolve it?
I am also experiencing the same issue to some direct query reports but not all of them. The data models are not affected {knock on wood!}. The issue first appeared on 1/25/2024 and it resolved on it's own on 1/26/2024. The issue reappeared on 1/30/2024 and it has persisted all day today (1/31/2024). Last week I updated Gateway and confirmed all Gateway connections were online. This is so inconsistent and I feel the issue is on Microsoft's side. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hey everyone, apologies for the delayed reply. Yes, the issue was cleared up, but it took MS support lead (and his team) a couple of Zoom calls to demostrate/replicate the issue and 3 or 4 days to fix. The fact that they "had to get back to me after further investigation) makes me think it was something beyond my expertise as a developer.
They were able to come up with and implement a fix, but I never got a detailed explanation of the systemic issue or resulting fix, however.
So, what I can tell anyone having the same issue would be to contact support. Hope this helps.
Following up: With no action on my end except for posting on this forum, this issue that reemerged on 1/30/2024 has resolved itself as of 2/1/2024.
I fully expect it to happen again with no warning so long as Microsoft isn't acknowledging that this is happening. Can anyone from Microsoft chime in, please?

You can troubleshoot to see if this solves your problem by following these steps.
First, go to Manage cnnections and gateways to confirm that the gateway is online
Second, navigate to the dataset settings in the Power BI Service to ensure that the data source credentials are accurate and that the gateway is properly associated with the datasets. Try to refresh the dataset in Power BI Service manually and see if the error persists.
Third, review the gateway logs for any specific error messages that could point to the cause of the issue. The logs can typically be found on the machine where the gateway is installed.
