We need to allow only PowerBI service/connectors to access the Azure managed SQL instance. i.e. PowerBI report published in workspace will connect with Azure SQL Managed instance to fetch data. Currently security team has configured firewall which don’t allow any ip address which is not whitelisted. Would you please let us know range of IP address to be whitelisted from PowerBI side so we can make the successful connection to Managed Azure Instance which is behind firewall.

Hi @Anonymous ,
You can download the Microsoft Azure Datacenter IP list, which is updated weekly or configureto allow outbound connections to FQDN's rather than IP's.
You can refer to these thread:https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Mass-IP-Whitelisting-for-Azure-Datacenter/m-p/173665

do you happen to know which IP address range I should use for Power BI? I noticed "PowerBI" on line 31937, but my Power BI instance is located in West Europe. Should I use the general "PowerBI" range, or one of the more specific options, like:
I’m a bit unsure which would be best, as I need to whitelist IPs that will reliably allow me to connect to a MySQL database on a Linux server without any issues. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Please share your experience if possible! How do you have everything set up now? Did everything work stably using ip-whitelist? Have you tried using domains?
