Visual Query Time Limit in Power BI Embedded

Hello, I would like to know if the configuration I changed in the Power BI file on the desktop so that there is no visual query limit of 225 seconds, if this configuration will remain when published on the web. As I use direct query, this time will always be longer in some cases. The environment with Embedded Power Bi will be used, so as it uses premium resources I hope this will not be a problem.

Hi @RobertRR ,

It won't work. This option is intended to allow you to use a query limit simulation to test any limitations that may be applied to a report after it has been published. You can choose the corresponding option according to the capacity you use, then adjust it accordingly and finally publish it to Power BI Service.

Hi @RobertRR ,

As far as I know, we can apply query limits in the Options menu.

Here you can select a capacity to simulate, just test the query limits for online users. The specific values of these limits will be based on the location of the data, including Auto (recommended), Shared capacity, Premium capacity, SQL Server Analysis Services and so on.

These limits may go into effect for users who open a report online, but not on Power BI Desktop. Related link is as follows: Set visual query limits in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn and you can optimize your reports according to the following official documentation:DirectQuery model guidance in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn.

Thank you for your response. I was already aware of this, what I meant was that if I apply the custom limit or the no limits option, will this setting remain when published.

As you can see in the image, I defined the query time as 0, that is, without limits. I just want to know if this limit will remain in the published report:
