Values and Screen Refresh Issue

Hi Everyone,

I'm sharing a report screen where we are getting a delay of 2 to 5 minutes before the report will complete and show all of the data.  On some users computers, the load is instantaneous, and others will get a delay.  The data is refreshed once per day.  We have tried deleting user browser cache, tried different browsers.  We have a few users that it is very repeatable, and other's we can't reproduce the issue running the same reports.  Any help to troubleshoot the issue would be appreciated.

Thanks!PowerBI refresh issue screenshot.jpg

Thank you for the suggestions, we tried these ideas and it did not improve the situation.  We found that the issue was caused by a firewall setting that was inspecting the SSL traffic from a Microsoft site that wasn't whitelisted.  After this was changed, the problem was solved.

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

It looks like you are facing delay issue while loading data. As the data load is partial and works fine for some users, while others face delays. As @GilbertQ and @ribisht17 both responded to your query, please go through their responses and check if it answers your query.

I would also take a moment to thank @ribisht17  and @GilbertQ, for actively participating in the community forum and for the solutions you’ve been sharing in the community forum. Your contributions make a real difference.

Hi @DMH

A quick question is this report using direct query or import mode? If it is using direct query, the underlying data source could be the cause of why it is taking longer for the reports to load with different times.

Hi @DMH

1. Check Report Performance – Use Power BI's Performance Analyzer to identify bottlenecks in report rendering and query execution.

2. Investigate Capacity Issues – If your report is hosted on Premium capacity, monitor resource usage with the Fabric Capacity Metrics app to see if resource constraints are causing delays.

3. Optimize Queries & DAX – Complex queries or inefficient DAX calculations can slow down reports. Consider optimizing them using tools like DAX Studio.

4. Check Gateway & Network – If users are accessing reports via an on-premises gateway, ensure it's functioning properly and not causing delays.

5. Browser & Cache Issues – Since clearing cache didn’t resolve the issue, test if affected users experience delays across different networks or devices.

6. Compare User Environments – If some users experience instant loading while others face delays, check differences in hardware, browser settings, and network configurations.

If the issue persists, you might want to raise a support ticket with Microsoft or explore additional troubleshooting guides here. Let me know if you need more details
