We are having trouble setting up a Dataflow using Business Central as our source through the Common Data Service. Our tenant has Business Central up and running (for months) and the user has valid licenses for both Business Central and Power BI Pro. Below is the error we receive. Any pointers or direction that can be provided? We only have a single tenant so we haven't crossed wires there.
We have tried setting this up with the following URL structures and receive the same error (screenshot below):
https://businesscentral.dynamics.com
https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/<GUID>/Production
Error message:
Sign in failed wit hthe following error code: "invalid_resource". Error description given: "AADSTS5000011: The resource principal named https://businesscentral.dynamics.com was not found in the tenant named XXXXXXXXX. This can happen if the application has not been isntalled by the administrator of the tenant or consented to by any user in the tenant. You might have sent your authentication request to the wrong tenant.

@Anonymous Anything here or know of anyone who can point me in the right direction?
Hi,
i think you use the ODATA Connector to connect to Business Central.
So you have to use the Basic Authentication with Access Key.

Hi @BIsteht ,
According to your error message, it seems power bi not allow you to direct access to detail url. I'd like to suggest you get data from root url path.
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
@Anonymous Can you explain? What would be the root URL if https://businesscentral.dynamics.com is not it?
Hi @BIsteht ,
Yes, root path means 'https://businesscentral.dynamics.com'. AFAIK, some connector only works with root path and not allow you to direct navigation to relative path:

@Anonymous Thanks! We tried this and it doesn't work. We've also had a support call with Microsoft and they were unable to identify the issue on the first call. Now we wait....
