Paginated reports row level security with on-premise SSAS as the data source

Hi!  We have on-premise SSAS 2017 with RLS.  The RLS is working with PowerBI reports published to the service.  However, Paginated Reports built using PowerBI Report Builder with SSAS on-premise as the source do not enforce RLS.   Is there a way to make this work?  I tried another path by using a PowerBI dataset based on live connection to SSAS but I got a message that I must use the connection string for the underlying Analysis Services instance.
