Unable to create Group Workspaces

I am unable to create (another) group workspace. I am using Power BI Pro (active license), and I have updated the Enterprise Gateway to the latest version (not sure if that is important).

I have been able to create one group previously (this was during the trial period of the Pro version I believe), but now that I have a license it does not seem to work.

I have browsed through the forum and found similar issues with Workspace management, but I could not solve mine by working out those solutions.

Hi @vr_data_group,

The group creation in Power BI is now controlled by the group creation in Exchange Online. Please check in your O365 tenant whether group creation option is disabled. See: Prevent Users from Creating Groups in Office 365.

Many thanks for your reply. I will contact our O365 tenant.

Just out of curiosity: to create groups it is thus necessary to have a O365 license? What if a company uses another type of Microsoft Office product?
