Hi all
First time trying to add data sources to a newly installed on-premises gateway in Power BI online. I've successfully connected to our SQL server but cannot connect to our local network folder and an Excel file saved there. When adding as a new data source I get the attached message. The file path matches the source in the report when viewing in Power BI desktop.
Any ideas?

I needed to change the file path in the desktop version of the report to the "full" path. Now working.

Hey,
I'm wondering if the service account that operates the on-premises gateway has access to folder/file where the excel file is located.
From my personal experience I would recommend to store the file either inside a Sharepoint online library or a OneDrive for business folder, then there is no need to configure a an on-premises gateway datasource.
Regards,
Tom
