I want to trigger a Power Automate flow within Power BI without requiring a manual click from a command button. It doesn't seem like that's possible. Maybe set a recurring trigger similar to automated refresh schedule of based off a condition? How could I do this?
@Dbuck44 It is not possible to directly trigger a Power Automate flow within Power BI without requiring a manual click from a command button. Power BI does not have a native capability to directly invoke a Power Automate flow.
However, you can achieve this functionality by embedding Power BI reports or dashboards into an application or webpage where you have control over the user interface. In such cases, you can create custom buttons or triggers within the application or webpage that, when clicked, can initiate the Power Automate flow.
Or a simple scheduled power automate flow to execute an event in specefic time.
Thank you, this is very useful information and may save me aallot of time. Much appreciated.
