I have created a few reports using the timeline slicer visual and they work fine. Now that I published these reports the timeline slicer doesn't load. All my data loads perfectly fine except that visual. I have the impression that a few days ago it worked but now it doesn't and I didn't change anything. I can see the outline of the timeline slicer but the inside of the visual is empty. Is this somekind of bug? Do I need to change a setting or something?
Also I noticed that when I edit a report on power bi service at the visualizations section there is no timeline slicer to select. All the other custom visuals appear fine though. I tried importing the timeline slicer and it says that import waas successful but still the timeline slicer doesn't appear.
There seems to be the same problem in embedded as well, works fine on the desktop but nothing visible when the report is embedded.
New Timeline v.1.2.8 was published. Please check if you still have an issue.
The issue appears also in 1.2.8. I send an email to the author:
" Thanks for the great time timeline. I’m having discovered an issue I think. In PB Desktop de slicer appears without any problem, after publish the timelime is also visible for myself. But the timeline is “sometimes” not visible for shared report users via Organzational Content pack. I already updated to the last version (1.2.8)"
I'm having an isue with the timeline slicer custom visual as well. In PowerBI desktop i have no issues, the slicer changes the visualization(s), but in the service (PowerBI.com) the timeline slicer appears, but it does change the visualization.
@mork This is the second thread I've seen in two days about TimeLine slicer issues. It is a Microsoft owned custom visual, I would recommend you submit a ticket.
@mork https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/ - bottom right of page "Contact Support", submit a basic ticket...
Side note, there is a new Priority Ticket for paid support that I have not seen before, so depending on what "paid" means it might be worth exploring that option for faster response.
