There was an error in the OAuth popup window

Hi folks, I'm getting the error below after clicking over the sign-in button when trying to get data from Excel stored in a SharePoint folder. This is happening in my Power Query OnLine

Folks, following your suggestion I've open a ticket to Power Bi support group. Accroding to then, since I'm trying to get info from SharePoint there is no need to use a gateway for that. In my case I'm using a gateway since I'm getting info from an On Premise server as well. The thing is that after indicate None in the gateway field and leaving authentication kind as Organizational account, everything is running without any issue. Hope this may help someone else with this issue.

Diego!

Hi @diegoadum ,

Whether you can connect to the excel file stored in Sharepoint folder in Power BI Desktop successfully? If yes, you can create a blank query in Power BI Service and paste the applied codes in Power BI Desktop as below screen shot.

Source = SharePoint.Files("https://XXX.sharepoint.com/sites/[YOUR SITE]/", [ApiVersion = 15])

create blank query.JPG

In addition, please check whether the solutions in the following threads can help you resolve the problem.

Dear yingyinr,

thanks for your reply. I've changed my origin but the result is quite the same. I end up with a OAuth pop windows desapearing. I'll try to follow the suggestion in one of you links getting the power Bi tab open twice. If that works I'll come here and let you know. But defintly something is not working as should.

Best regards,

Diego!
