we want our users to find our reports suites for them in app because we have set up specific reports, dashboards etc for specific cohorts of users.
the problem is previously now one shared via appps. they just sent out individual report links. And not the users say that they dont want to go to apps. they just want to go to one place and find everything they need there.
I think they are struggling to understand Power BI and how it works but it seems to me that they dont want to have to log in. Then go to Apps and choose the App they need. (Most will only see one app. Only a few users will be in the security grroup for multiple apps.)
they seem to want to just click once and have access to everything, but everything is hundreds of reports. Many that arent related to what they do, its information overload. So we have users that are now getting a bit irked at Power BI which is the last thing we want.
Any tips on how to deal with Signposting for users to the right place? I do wish that you could divide Apps into Areas. that would probably really help. Also set log ins so they go straight into the Apps page rather than to home
I don't think this level of customization is possible with the standard PBI service. Maybe you should consider Power BI Embedded and create a portal of sorts that would handle all your necessary redirections etc.
