Setting data alerts

Hi all. I'm trying to set up data alerts from an existing dashboard.

On the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, I can see that my user account has access to Power BI Premium Per User and Microsoft Fabric (Free). However, when I set up a data alert I get this message that I should get a trial Fabric account. I don't understand why I need a Fabric trial when I already have a Microsoft Fabric (free) included in my Premium Per User license.

Can someone recommend what license do I exactly need to set up data alerts?

Thank you!

Hi @subs ,

If it was shared by someone then that dashboard should be on premium capacity workspace

Please check this -

Thanks,

Hi, @subs

For Power BI, you can set up alerts on tiles in My workspace or on shared dashboards in Premium capacity. If you have a Power BI Pro license, you can set up alerts on tiles in any other workspace. Alerts can be set on tiles pinned from report visuals, and only on gauges, KPIs, and cards.

However, it's important to note that customers with any license type can create alerts in the Power BI service. If you have a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license, you can create and save dashboard tiles in My workspace, share them with you in a Premium reserved capacity, or set alerts in any workspace you can access.
