Security option missing on menu for RLS

After adding roles to my PBIX and uploading to the service, the menu option for Security does not show up on the dataset.

Hi @compe1 ,

If the dataset is Live connection model, there is no option for security.

What is Live connection model? For short , connect to analysis service. For details, please refer this official documents.

That is not possible. Check wether you have saved the RLS setup in Desktop before publishing! Some times that could cause issues!
