Hi,
I have a Direct Query Dataset which, in the Power BI Service does not have ‘Scheduled Cache Refresh’ option available. It does has the ‘Scheduled Refresh’ option available.
This would indicate that the Power BI Service thinks the dataset is running under Import mode.
However in the pbix file, the model is definitely set to Direct Query. E.g. clicking on the data option and then selecting a table will display the message ‘This table uses Direct Query and cannot be shown’
This dataset has been running fine under Direct Query mode for over a year and has not been modified recently.
I need to set this back to Direct Query to use the hourly refreshes.
Any idea on how we can switch this back to DQ mode?
Thanks.

Thanks for the answer Gilbert.
Immediately after posting I saw a similar issue pop up in related posts which answered this question.
The issue is that a dataflow had been added to the Direct Query Dataset - forcing it into mixed mode and therefore changing the options available in Power BI Service. For reference Direct Query datasets can only use the 1 data source.
Thanks.
