    Thanks for the answer Gilbert.

     

    Immediately after posting I saw a similar issue pop up in related posts which answered this question.

     

    The issue is that a dataflow had been added to the Direct Query Dataset - forcing it into mixed mode and therefore changing the options available in Power BI Service. For reference Direct Query datasets can only use the 1 data source.

Hi there

What happens if you download and install the latest version of PBI Desktop.

Then open the existing file, save it and re-upload?
