The error when configuring the gateway likely relates to connection issues. Here's how to fix it:

1. Check Gateway Status: Ensure the gateway is online (green tick).
2. Verify Credentials: Use correct username/password with access to the data source.
3. Unique Connection Name: Ensure the connection name isn’t already in use.
4. Test Gateway: Go to Manage Gateways in Power BI Service and test the connection.
5. Firewall/Network: Ensure the gateway can connect to the data source (firewall or network issues might block it).

If issues persist, review the exact error message for more clues!
