Hello,
I have a report that uses the Google Maps API, everything is working, however IT needs to restrict the use of the key to the report. We tried using the restriction: https://app.powerbi.com/* and it doesn't work. Do you have any idea?
Thanks!!!
Hi, @JPDUVAL76
If you wannt to restrict your Google Maps API key, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Google Maps Platform Credentials page.
2. Select the API key that you want to set a restriction on.
3. Under “Key restrictions,” configure the following:
Application restrictions: Specify the websites or apps that are allowed to use the API key. You can use wildcards (e.g., ) to cover multiple subdomains.*.example.com
API restrictions: Choose which APIs the key can access (e.g., Maps JavaScript API, Places API, etc.).
4. Click “Save” to finalize your changes.

How to get your questions answered quickly -- How to provide sample data in the Power BI Forum
Hello, thank you for your response. However, we have already made the configurations indicated in your reply. We have restricted to the following web addresses: *.app.powerbi.com*, *.app.powerbi.com/, *.app.power.com/*, https://app.powerbi.com/*, and unfortunately, the API is blocking the functionality. Could you please specify the exact web address that needs to be entered so that the API works with our Power BI reports? Normally, entering the generic site app.powerbi.com should work.
