Hi,
Need advice on a specific issue...
We have a report for a customer that uses a 50:50 mix of several standard SQL database tables and DB Views.
There are also compute values on the report, i.e. SUM, % etc... which aren't efficient.
Since there are a mix of tables and compute values; the report is in Mixed mode - i.e. Direct Query and Cached.
As a result of the above; when publishing to private workspace for the report to be embedded, the dataset could not cope.
Downloading the PBIX file was 129MB - which is huge and will continue to grow over the time - it's effectively become a sponge.
What I need assistance on is how to restrict the data from Tables to be by row quantity or time (i.e. last 30 days).
We have already throttled back the DB Views by making them 30 days only (at a SQL level), but how do you apply this to standard DB tables please in PowerBI?
Please help.
Thank you!
What is the data source of "DB views", is it excel or manual entor or something else?
Regards
Paul
Source of Views is Microsoft SQL Server, same source as the User tables in SQL.
Hope that answers.
Thanks!
