Report is not refreshing in Power BI service for the source Azure Synapse Serverless pool

Dear Team,

In Power BI Desktop, I am using Azure synapse serverless pool as my source and built thereport, report is refreshing fine in Power BI Desktop without any issues. In PBI desktop, we signed the synapse using "Microsoft Account" option.

When I publish it in Power BI service, I am seeing two options to enter the credentials of syanpse as below. By using Basic option, I am not able to login with my organization email, it's showing credential is incorrect but it's valid. I tried to login with "OAuth2", login was success but when I refresh the data, it's not refreshing and not throwing any error as well.

Refresh is finishing in 2 minutes without refreshing anything, same file is working & refreshing correctly in Power BI desktop. Please guide us on how to solve this refresh issue in Power BI Service.

Hi @DivakarKrishna ,

Desktop connections can be allowed through the Synapse firewall like direct IP address.

Service can access Synapse if:

• Turn on directly from the Azure portal blade by switching the Allow Azure Services and resources to access this server to ON in the Firewalls and virtual networks settings.

• OR you have a gateway.

Hi @v-yanjiang-msft ,

I have turned on  Allow Azure Services and resources to access this server to ON under synapse and refreshed my dataset in Power BI service but still my dataset is not refreshing properly.

I am not using any Gateway since my Synapse source is in azure cloud, it's perfectly working in Power BI desktop, issue happening only with Power BI service.

Perhaps, I need to change any other setting to make it work in Power BI Service for synapse?
